"LOST AND FOUND" (2008) is a 25min animated movie co-produced by Studio AKA and Contender Creative/E1. It is available on DVD ( Amazon UK) and is based on the bestselling picture book of the same name by OLIVER JEFFERS.  www.oliverjeffers.com
The animated movie has been Adapted & Directed by Philip Hunt and Produced by Sue Goffe, at STUDIO AKA - an amazingly creative animation studio based in London: www.studioaka.co.uk/go/lostandfound

LOST AND FOUND was made by a crew of 20 working in four countries over 11 months, rethinking the simple drawn style of the original book into an epic 3D CG film and tackling some of the studios most challenging set pieces to date – including their own ‘perfect storm’. The film has to date won 19 international awards -  including an Annecy Crystal - and has been nominated for the 2009 BAFTA for best children’s animation! I can't name all of the team, but the people who work there are just wonderful and worked really hard to make the project happen in such a short time!

I had the luck to work with Philip Hunt and have to thank him for the total trust he gave me all along the project. The project needed to develop and yet retain a sensibility faithful to Oliver despite being done in quite a different style from the original 2D drawings of the book. Please, keep an eye on the STUDIO AKA news blog to be up to date with our awards: http://studioaka.squarespace.com/awards/2009/11/15/lost-and-found-awards.html

This blog is to share a small part of the making of the movie – and to share the pleasure I had in working on "Lost and Found". Hope you enjoy it.
